Oxygen and Acetylene
Oxygen (O2) and Acetylene (DA) are two gases which when combined in a welding torch produce a neutral flame, reaching temperatures in excess of 3000ºC, making them the only readily available mixture capable of gas welding.
The typical ratio for O2 usage is 2 parts to 1 part DA and our cylinders have been paired accordingly to reduce the number of visits to the store between refills. (i.e. 20 litre Plus Oxy is paired with a 10 litre Plus Acet).
When combined, these products are the perfect choice for welding, cutting, heating and brazing, and by far outperform propane and propylene gases. Additionally, if you’re using propane or propylene for cutting and heating applications, the ratio of O2 to fuel gas is nearly doubled when compared to DA.
The deposit charges detailed below include the cost of 2 cylinders. If you need to purchase either of these cylinders separately, please click here for Oxygen or click here for Acetylene.

Hobbyweld Cylinder Deposit
The Hobbyweld Cylinder Deposit is a one-off, refundable charge - paid alongside the gas fill for your first cylinder. There is no limit to how long you keep the cylinder and you can exchange it as often or as little as you like.
If you need to return the cylinder, take it to any Hobbyweld stockist for a refund (note: You will need your deposit form and a small admin charge applies).
A cost effective alternative for occasional use when compared to monthly or annual rental charges.
